The Society

Membership is not sold. It is recorded.

There are two ways to belong to this house. One you earn by living with what we make. The other puts a formula of your own in the library under your name. Neither is a punch card.

How it works

You are probably already partway in.

The Society is free. It is not a subscription and there is nothing to cancel. Cross $150 in lifetime purchases and the invitation arrives on its own.

Every rung after that is earned the same way, by buying what you were going to buy anyway. The house keeps the record.

01

Buy what you were going to buy

A candle, a class, a party booking. Nothing extra, no fee, no sign up form beyond an account.

02

Cross $150 and you are in

The invitation is automatic. Membership is recorded, not sold, and it does not expire.

03

Climb by living with the house

Every purchase counts toward the next rung. A single party booking usually clears the second one.

04

Or take a seat at the bench

The paid tiers are not higher rungs. They are a different thing: your own accord, formulated and kept on file.

Membership

Your accord, kept on file.

Most studios sell you a class. We keep your formula. An accord developed once at our bench, numbered, recorded with its percentages and materials, and reorderable in any format we make. Reorder in three years and it is the same fragrance, because it was written down rather than remembered.

The real one

The Atelier

Your accord on file

  • Reorder it in any format at member cost
  • One bench session every month
  • Two vessel refills a month
  • 20% off everything in the shop
  • One guest pass each quarter

$95 per month

The Founders

25 seats, then closed

  • Your founder number is your accord number, kept for good
  • Your accord named and shelved in the house library
  • A private bench night for six, once a year
  • First refusal on every limited run
  • Your name on the studio wall

$1,200 per year

Paid members hold the top Society discount from day one. Billing is monthly for The Atelier and annual for The Founders, and both can be paused or cancelled from your account.

Refill

Bring the vessel back.

Every candle you have poured with us leaves you with glass worth keeping. Bring it back clean and we will re wick and refill it in any accord in the house, including your own.

The Drop

Not local? Take the quarterly.

Every quarter we release a new accord. The Drop ships it in three formats before any of it reaches the shop: one 8oz wooden wick candle, one SKYN item, one Haven item, and the formulation notes from the chemist who built it.

Ships anywhere in the US. Skip a quarter or cancel whenever you like. The Drop counts toward your Society standing like anything else.

The fine print

Who owns your accord.

Pretty Lux Co. owns the formulation and holds it in the house library. As an active paid member you hold exclusive use of your accord, meaning we will not sell it to anyone else or place it in a public collection while your membership is running.

If you cancel, we hold your accord on file for twelve months in case you return. After that it returns to the library. You can request its retirement instead, in writing, at any time.

Society standing is free, permanent, and carries no billing of any kind. It cannot be purchased, transferred, or reset.
